1. Character Design – Cloud

My avatar was inspired by a hoodie that I've had for a long time. I reach for it every time I feel cold or unsafe, over time, warmth and comfort became the unspoken labels for this hoodie. It helped me tremendously when I was suffering with depression and anxiety, so I created a human-like avatar with a mission to absorb negativity and return positivity to those who struggle with intrusive thoughts. I made my avatar a public figure rather than a private creature in the hope that others would receive the help they deserved.
I gave my avatar a human-like form to represent the idea of a 'friend' by my side during my darkest time. The avatar is wearing the hoodie itself, with a pair of high boots to give a sense of warmth and comfort. Its head is a column of smoke to show anonymity and lack of judgement – making it perfect for venting and ranting. The avatar has a 'dark' aesthetic to subconsciously encourage people to accept/be comfortable with their negative emotions as it is an undeniable part of life.
